In the fuel management universe, there are alternative technologies to control that are reliable, efficient, and fast to deploy for any organization.

The inventory monitoring unit or LS COM, as it is known, is a great option for companies that need to improve the control and follow-up of their operation.  This is an easy-to-use and economic equipment, that works with different communication protocols and operates online without any infrastructure investment.

For instance: a retail gas station with multiple tanks but without an online monitoring tool is losing money daily. The reconciliation process is slow, the information arrives late, and the demand for personnel to control it is high, so the fuel losses are assumed by the station.  If the decision is made to hire specialty services, “the solution can be worse than the problem”.

With last year’s prices, a good quality sensor cost USD 2,500, the ATG console cost USD 4,000, and the piping, wiring, and overall infrastructure for deployment, another USD 6,000. Thus, the control of a single tank can cost more than USD 10,000; but the information is not online yet. For software, a station can pay about USD 4,000 USD for a single license to up to USD 40,000 for an enterprise solution. But adding a robust enterprise solution would require an additional infrastructure of servers, racks, and licensing. In other words: More costs.
